Oregon Oversize Permits are valid for 10 days. Driver must have the permit prior to entering the state.
Loads less than 10′ wide on Green Routes and less than 12′ wide on all Interstate roads or Green Routes are allowed continuous travel. All other loads are allowed travel one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset, seven days a week from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Memorial Day to Labor Day, travel is restricted starting noon on Saturday and all day Sunday.
Loads that exceed 12′ wide are restricted movement in Portland, Salem, Eugene, Grants Pass and Medford areas from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Note*: Extra restrictions and pilot cars are required on a few secondary routes
“Oversize Load” are required on all wide loads and vehicle/loads over 80′ long. Flags at least 18″ square are required on all wide loads at the outermost extremities. Night travel requires illuminated lamps or marker lights at the outermost extremities. Rear overhang of 4′ or more must be marked with a flag or, in darkness with red warning lights. When width exceeds 10′ on a two-lane highway, or 12′ on a multi-lane highway, amber warning lights are required unless operating with a minimum of two pilot cars.
